Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Course fee: $150

This comprehensive program is designed for the medical professional, EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, and Physicians who provide advanced emergency care. Lecture topics include acute cardiac care, pathophysiology, treatment modalities, and pharmacology. Students will undergo intensive skills evaluation as well as a written exam. Upon completion the student will receive the AHA ACLS provider certification card that is valid for two years.

Prerequisites: EMT or higher level of care.

The purpose of this course is to teach those with a duty to act the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. It includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest.

Class includes performing a primary assessment on adults, children and infants, being able to give ventilations to adults, children and infants, giving ventilations using a BVM, CPR for adults, children, and infants, and conscious choking for adults, children and infants.
